Terminal Manager - Kalgoorlie Fuel Terminal

About the role

ATOM manages and operates bulk fuel terminals across Australia, offering storage, handling, maintenance and engineering services. As Terminal Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Kalgoorlie fuel terminals, leading site operations, driving safety performance, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring compliance with operational, regulatory and customer requirements. It is a hands-on leadership role with end-to-end accountability for terminal performance, people, safety and asset reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Safety leadership: champion the safety culture, lead HSSEQ performance, drive incident management, risk assessment and emergency preparedness, and ensure full compliance with standards and regulations.
• Operational excellence: oversee the safe receipt, storage and distribution of fuel products, ensure reliable and efficient operations, and lead Management of Change processes for site improvements and upgrades.
• Financial and asset management: manage operational and maintenance budgets, support capital planning and cost optimisation, and drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder management: build relationships with customers, contractors and industry partners, liaise with regulators, port authorities and internal stakeholders, and share best practice across the network.
• Rail specialist accountability: manage safe, compliant rail operations, including personnel competence, daily planning, job safety analysis, permitting, operational monitoring and controlled management of variations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in terminal operations, fuel, energy, mining, chemical processing or a similar industry.
• Experience managing operational budgets.
• Strong HSSEQ leadership capability.
• Comfortable owning outcomes and leading teams in a safety-critical environment.
