Temporary Teacher - Upper Primary (Years 3-6)

About the role

Padthaway Primary School, a small rural school in South Australia, is seeking a full-time teacher to lead an upper primary class (Years 3-6). The school values strong community connections and authentic learning, and its students learn through a balance of inquiry-based teaching, direct explicit instruction and visual documentation of learning. The position is open until 27 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Teach an upper primary class of students in Years 3-6 within a supportive small school environment.
• Plan and deliver learning using a combination of inquiry-based approaches, direct explicit instruction and visual documentation of learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and the local community to create meaningful learning opportunities and support improved student outcomes.

• An outstanding, enthusiastic teacher committed to high-quality teaching in a small school setting.
• Ability to build meaningful learning experiences that strengthen student engagement, growth and connection to community.
• Part-time and flexible arrangements will be considered.

• Salary of $84,971 to $123,236 per annum (FTE teacher conditions).
