Telehealth Doctor – Remote General Practitioner

About the role

InstantScripts is seeking experienced General Practitioners to provide patient‑centred telehealth consultations across Australia. This independent contractor position allows you to work from home, set your own hours, and deliver high‑quality care using a secure, technology‑enabled platform.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations with patients, ensuring thorough assessment and appropriate management.
• Document clinical notes and prescribe medications in compliance with AHPRA standards.
• Utilise InstantScripts’ telehealth platform, My Health Records, and AI‑assisted tools to support decision‑making.
• Maintain clinical governance and adhere to the rigorous safety protocols established by Wesfarmers Health.
• Participate in the GP Assistance Program and collaborate with a network of peer doctors for clinical support.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum PGY4 experience (Fellow/VR GP, GP Registrar, or hospital‑based doctor).
• Right to work in Australia (no sponsorship available).
• Ability to commit to at least 7 hours per week.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with fast‑paced technology use.

Required skills

• Proficiency with My Health Records.
• Experience using AI tools for medical note taking and clinical knowledge retrieval.
