Technology Risk Lead

About the role

The Technology Risk Lead will support the Head of Technology Risk in strengthening and evolving technology risk practices across NEXTDC. Working closely with technology, security and operational teams, you will coordinate core risk activities and provide clear, actionable risk insights for governance and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technology risk activities, including risk assessments, remediation tracking and control framework management.
• Review and challenge risk assessments to ensure risks, controls and remediation actions are clearly defined.
• Maintain the Technology Risk Register and prepare risk reporting and governance materials.
• Support the development and maintenance of controls aligned to standards such as ISO 27001, NIST and the Essential Eight.
• Assist with internal and external audits, assurance activities and compliance obligations.
• Partner with technology, security and operational teams to gather, validate and align risk information.
• Identify opportunities to improve technology risk processes, reporting and governance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of technology environments and risk management principles.
• Experience assessing emerging technology risks, including Agentic AI technologies.
• Ability to communicate risk insights clearly to stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST and the Essential Eight security frameworks.
• Experience with Agentic AI technologies.
