Technology Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Technology Lead to design, develop, and maintain critical applications and scripts in a UNIX/Linux environment. The role involves close collaboration with application teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable data processing and system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support applications and scripts on UNIX/Linux platforms.
• Write efficient, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Perform database tuning, query optimization, and performance analysis.
• Automate routine tasks using Bash/KornShell scripting.
• Monitor batch jobs, troubleshoot production issues, and manage job scheduling.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards.
• Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Required profile

• Experience in production support environments.
• Proven ability to work within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong collaboration skills with application teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders.

Required skills

• UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Command‑line proficiency.
• Shell scripting (Bash, KornShell).
• Cron job scheduling and file system management.
• Process handling and automation.
• SQL development, including joins, subqueries, indexing, stored procedures.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Query tuning and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data workflows.
• Scheduling tools such as AutoSys or Control‑M.
• Basic data warehousing concepts.
• Version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Exposure to Python or Perl scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of PL/SQL or T‑SQL.
