Technical Trainer for Mission Critical Command & Control Systems

About the role

Thales is seeking a Trainer to deliver specialised training for the operation, implementation and support of mission‑critical Command and Control systems. The role involves creating and delivering training both on‑site and remotely for Australian and international customers, with regular travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and develop training concepts.
• Review, update and produce end‑user training courses and materials.
• Plan, manage and coordinate training schedules.
• Deliver ad‑hoc and scheduled training sessions to end users.
• Assess trainee performance and provide feedback.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise to system development teams.
• Support operators with on‑the‑job training.
• Participate in departmental, project and technical review meetings.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with current or re‑activatable Positive Vetting (PV) clearance.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent instructor qualifications.
• Analytical intelligence experience or strong interest in secure ICT environments.
• Experience or knowledge of geospatial tools and data formats.
• Ability to generate training material and conduct assessments.
