Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Refrigeration

About the role

Join Gordon Brothers Industries, now part of Johnson Controls, as a Technical Sales Engineer focusing on industrial refrigeration and heat pump solutions across Australia. You will drive new business, develop sales strategies, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions for mining, chemicals, and food & beverage sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in the Australian industrial refrigeration market.
• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Provide market insights, including competitor activity and industry trends.
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to create designs, costings, and proposals.
• Use specialist selection software to optimise equipment choices and manage the end‑to‑end sales process, including SFDC management and bid development.

Required profile

• 3+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in industrial refrigeration.
• Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred but not essential).
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with a consultative approach.
• Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and ability to build trust quickly.

Required skills

• Industrial refrigeration product knowledge and solution sales.
• Experience with SFDC (Salesforce) for sales pipeline management.
• Use of specialist selection software for equipment optimisation.
