Technical Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to own the architecture, delivery, and operational excellence of our client‑focused, cloud‑hosted software platform. The role blends hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration to build scalable, secure, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and delivery of software solutions from concept through production deployment and monitoring.
• Provide hands‑on leadership across backend (Python/Django) and frontend (React/TypeScript) engineering activities.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical coaching.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, software quality, and continuous‑improvement practices.
• Design and implement scalable, secure REST APIs and distributed services.
• Oversee AWS cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and reliability.
• Make architectural decisions on data modelling, system integration, performance optimisation, and scalability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code frameworks.
• Collaborate with product, AI/ML, QA, and clinical stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage technical risks, production incidents, and complex engineering challenges while meeting delivery timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex production systems.
