Technical Director – Geotechnical Engineering

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Technical Director for its Geotechnical practice in Brisbane. You will lead the delivery of complex geotechnical solutions across major infrastructure projects, shaping the built environment throughout Queensland and Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in planning, design and delivery of geotechnical solutions aligned with the Aurecon Blueprint.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams through investigation, detailed design and construction support.
• Champion safe, sustainable and resilient design while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Act as an internal and external authority on geotechnical design, slope risk assessment and remediation.
• Drive inclusive leadership behaviours that foster collaboration and high performance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably at senior or director level.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion and mentorship.
