Team Leader Youth Justice Training

About the role

The Team Leader Youth Justice Training will oversee the planning and delivery of learning and development programmes for staff working with young people in community justice settings, focusing on foundation training for new Youth Justice Officers. The role supports students and staff through supervision, feedback and professional development to achieve required learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver accredited youth justice training programmes.
• Provide foundation training for new Youth Justice Officers.
• Supervise and mentor students and staff undertaking training.
• Ensure training aligns with the prescribed curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Lead the Youth Justice Training team to meet objectives and outcomes.

Required profile

• Industry experience working with young people in the Western Australian youth justice system.
• Self‑motivated to design, deliver and coordinate accredited training programmes.
• Understanding of the Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Community) qualification.
• Working towards or holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Team‑oriented with a high degree of autonomy and self‑drive.
