Team Leader – Network Operations Centre (NOC)

About the role

Join the Queensland Government’s Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business as a Team Leader in CITEC’s Network Operations Centre. You will lead a 24/7 multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless network performance, resolving complex incidents, and driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day NOC operations and monitor network performance.
• Coordinate with Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to prioritize and resolve network incidents within agreed timeframes.
• Collaborate with vendors and network specialists to troubleshoot and remediate service disruptions.
• Prepare detailed reports, submissions and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead workforce planning, staff resourcing and mentoring to address capability gaps and align with the skills matrix.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of current networking technologies and emerging trends.
• Proven ability to quickly learn, adopt and implement new network products and tools.
• Experience in workforce planning, team development and mentoring.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
