Team Leader – Disability Support (Rockhampton)

About the role

Kirinari is seeking an experienced Team Leader to guide a team of Disability Support Workers in delivering person‑centred, therapeutic supports. You will combine people leadership, therapeutic practice and service coordination to achieve positive outcomes for participants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of Disability Support Workers using strengths‑based and trauma‑informed approaches.
• Build a positive, accountable team culture and provide guidance on person‑centred and therapeutic practices.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day service delivery, monitor participant outcomes and ensure supports align with goals.
• Support staff with complex situations, monitor documentation for quality and compliance, and identify training opportunities.
• Collaborate with participants, families, support networks and stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience leading a team in disability, community or human services.
• Understanding of person‑centred, strengths‑based and trauma‑informed practice.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and solutions‑focused in complex situations.
• Commitment to participant choice, dignity and self‑determination.

Required skills

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Working with Children Check/Blue Card where required.
• Australian working rights.
