Team Leader - Aged Care

About the role

Calvary Health Care is recruiting a Team Leader for its residential aged care home in Oaklands Park, South Australia. The Team Leader plays an integral role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents at all times, supporting the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse in supervising and coordinating care across the home while ensuring each resident's needs, wishes and goals are met with dignity and respect. The position is open to either Endorsed Enrolled Nurses or Personal Care Workers with appropriate qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to all residents so that care is holistic and person-centred.
• Support the coordination of residents' care needs, including medication management, nutrition and hydration, and pressure care management.
• Lead and supervise care on the shift within their designated wing or area.
• Perform medicine-related tasks in line with their scope of qualification, state or territory legislation and regulations, and Calvary's policies and procedures for delegation and supervision.

Required profile

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA registration to administer medication).
• High level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
• Effective listener able to communicate orally and in writing at all levels.
• Ability to use information technology and programs and to learn new skills as required.
• Current National Police Check.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
