Tax Manager (part‑time, flexible role)

About the role

Standard Ledger is seeking an experienced tax professional to review and sign off company and individual tax returns and to provide clear tax advice to our startup and scale‑up clients. The position is part‑time, fully remote and designed to fit around personal commitments such as school hours or term‑time availability.

Key responsibilities

• Review and sign off company and individual tax returns prepared by the team.
• Provide tax advice on structuring, Division 7A, GST, CGT concessions, R&D tax incentive and related matters.
• Act as the technical reference point for the team, raising the quality of deliverables.
• Monitor and communicate tax law changes that affect our client base.
• Collaborate to shape a flexible work schedule that meets both personal and business needs.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with solid Australian tax experience across individuals and businesses.
• Registered Tax Agent with the TPB, or eligible to re‑register.
• Strong judgment and the ability to explain tax concepts in plain English.
• Based in Australia (preferably Eastern states) with the right to work locally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
