Tax Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Manager to join Ahrens’ Finance team in either Kingsford or Adelaide. The role will oversee tax compliance, reporting and governance for our national operations, preparing calculations, returns and supporting documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage core tax compliance activities including income tax, BAS, GST and FBT.
• Prepare tax calculations, reports and supporting documentation.
• Maintain tax provisions, perform reconciliations and support audit requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external advisors and auditors.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Demonstrated experience in corporate tax compliance (income tax, GST, FBT).
• Strong knowledge of tax and financial accounting principles.
• High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Pronto (desirable).
