Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join PKF’s Newcastle office. The role is full‑time and involves leading tax engagements for a diverse client base, from large conglomerates to family‑owned businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax projects, ensuring compliance and strategic advice.
• Provide clear explanations of complex tax concepts to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify business development opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high‑quality tax solutions.
• Stay updated on tax legislation and convey implications to clients.

Required profile

• Proven ability to inspire and lead teams.
• Strong tax knowledge with the capacity to simplify technical theory.
• Excellent networking and business development instincts.
• Desire for continuous personal and professional growth.
• Collaborative work ethic and outstanding communication skills.
• Prior experience at a Big 4 or mid‑tier accounting firm.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a tax manager.
