Tax Manager

About the role

Investa is seeking a Tax Manager to lead the Group’s tax compliance, governance and advisory activities across its diverse portfolio. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers to ensure tax obligations are met, risks are managed, and continuous improvements are embedded in the tax function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee tax compliance for a large portfolio of entities, including tax returns, trust distributions, and withholding tax calculations.
• Provide tax advice on income tax, GST, FBT, trust structures and property‑related transactions.
• Support tax risk management through robust governance frameworks and controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisers, auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare tax process documentation and support tax audits and reviews.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess business impacts.
• Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Tax Law or related discipline.
• Experience in trust taxation, including MITs, AMITs, distributions and withholding tax obligations.
• Broad corporate tax knowledge covering income tax, GST and FBT.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax compliance across multiple entities.
• Strong understanding of tax governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear advisory skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
