About the role
The Tax Manager will oversee direct income tax matters for Mondelēz International’s legal entities across Australia and New Zealand. This senior position is responsible for tax compliance, transfer pricing, and strategic tax planning to optimise the company’s tax position.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit direct tax filings, including corporate income tax returns, withholding tax on dividends, interest and royalties.
- Manage transfer pricing compliance, including Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) negotiations.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities through business activity analysis and minimise tax exposure.
- Provide technical support to local finance teams and liaise with tax authorities during audits.
- Coordinate with the Regional Taxation Department to ensure consistent tax policy implementation.
- Monitor and analyse changes in tax regulations, assess impact and deliver internal training.
Required profile
- Approximately 12 years of experience in tax, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of local statutory accounting and US GAAP.
- Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting and tax audit management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
