Tax Advisory Manager

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Tax Advisory Manager to lead high‑quality tax compliance and advisory engagements for a diverse portfolio of Australian and multinational clients. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape tax strategies that support business growth and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead income‑tax advisory projects, including restructures, M&A, and international expansion.
• Manage client engagements covering capital gains tax rollovers, tax consolidation, tax loss utilisation, Division 7A, thin capitalisation and large global entities.
• Prepare and deliver corporate, international and private‑group tax returns for companies and trusts.
• Conduct ATO reviews and audits, collaborating directly with the Australian Tax Office.
• Develop and implement tax risk‑management and governance frameworks for businesses and groups.
• Ensure accurate, timely delivery of all client work and maintain strong client relationships.
• Partner with other KPMG service lines to provide integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior staff, lead tax training initiatives and drive team process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading income‑tax compliance and advisory engagements in a professional services or corporate environment.
• Strong project‑management abilities with a big‑picture perspective.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage complex engagements from inception to delivery.
