Tax Accountant

About the role

The Tax Accountant position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Sydney, NSW. You will prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts while ensuring strict compliance with Australian tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for a diverse client base.
• Manage tax compliance obligations and stay current with legislative changes.
• Analyze financial information and prepare/review financial statements.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide practical advice.
• Liaise with clients to gather information, answer queries and deliver clear guidance.
• Support internal processes to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong skills in tax compliance and preparation with solid knowledge of Australian tax law.
• Experience delivering tax and advisory services to varied client types.
• Proficiency in preparing and analysing financial statements for businesses and individuals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CA/CPA or progress toward qualification preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication in English and professional proficiency in Mandarin.
• Ability to work collaboratively on‑site and manage multiple deadlines.
