Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Tax Accountant to join our high‑performing finance team within a market‑leading multinational organisation. The role offers exposure to both Australian and international tax matters, working closely with the Group Finance Manager and various finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporate income tax calculations and tax effect accounting.
• Assist with BAS, GST, FBT and other indirect tax compliance obligations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end tax reporting requirements.
• Assist with tax audits, ATO reviews and external advisor engagements.
• Contribute to transfer pricing documentation and international tax projects.
• Provide practical tax support to finance and operational stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and enhance efficiencies across the tax function.
• Support a range of ad‑hoc tax and finance projects as the business grows.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification (or nearing completion).
• 2‑5 years of experience in corporate tax, business services or tax compliance.
• Exposure to FBT, GST and BAS.
• Strong technical understanding of Australian tax legislation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capability.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
