Talent Acquisition Specialist – Mining Operations

About the role

Barminco is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to partner with leaders across its Australian underground mining operations. You will manage end‑to‑end recruitment for a diverse portfolio of blue‑collar, operational roles, ensuring the right talent is secured to drive site performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment cycles for multiple vacancies across various mining sites.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define workforce needs and develop sourcing strategies.
• Proactively source candidates through job boards, networking, and talent pipelines.
• Deliver a positive candidate experience with timely communication and effective process management.
• Provide market intelligence, talent insights, and recruitment recommendations.
• Maintain accurate recruitment data, monitor KPIs, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote Barminco’s employer brand through engagement and networking activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects for recruitment processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in blue‑collar or underground environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
• Ability to source talent in competitive labour markets.
• Excellent organisational abilities to handle multiple vacancies simultaneously.
• Customer‑focused communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies.
• Analytical capability to interpret recruitment data and support workforce decisions.
