Talent Acquisition Officer

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Officer will join the Council’s Talent Acquisition team to deliver recruitment services across the organisation. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from advertising vacancies to negotiating offers, while ensuring a high‑quality experience for candidates and hiring managers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and publish job advertisements in line with organisational standards.
• Screen applications, shortlist candidates and assess suitability.
• Coordinate and participate in interview panels, including scheduling and facilitation.
• Manage candidate offers, negotiations and onboarding processes.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide recruitment advice.
• Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Deliver a professional, responsive and customer‑focused recruitment service.

Required profile

• Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent talent acquisition experience with relevant training.
• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end recruitment and selection processes.
• Experience in candidate screening, interview coordination and advising hiring managers on suitability.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage high volumes of work, meet deadlines and handle competing priorities.
