Talent Acquisition Lead

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Lead will head a recruiter pod in a fast‑growing global organisation based in Australia. You will combine people‑leadership with hands‑on recruiting, driving high‑quality hiring outcomes while scaling the function. This role balances strategic guidance, operational excellence and deep expertise across complex hiring processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a recruiter pod, ensuring focus, productivity and delivery against hiring targets.
• Conduct and manage senior and complex searches while remaining actively involved in recruitment execution.
• Translate broader talent acquisition objectives into clear priorities, expectations and actionable goals for the team.
• Hold regular one‑on‑one meetings to discuss performance, pipeline health and career development.
• Review and improve sourcing, outreach, candidate engagement, interview processes and stakeholder communication.
• Coach recruiters on strategy, stakeholder management, sourcing techniques and professional growth.
• Support continuous improvement of hiring processes to ensure scalability, consistency and an exceptional candidate experience.
• Identify and escalate performance or team challenges, partnering with leadership on solutions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or executive search.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a recruiting team, pod or similar function.
• Proven track record of managing personal recruiting workload while developing other recruiters.
• Strong knowledge of the full hiring lifecycle, including sourcing strategy, outreach and stakeholder management.
• Excellent people‑leadership and coaching abilities.
