About the role

Join TAFE Queensland SkillsTech as a permanent full‑time Engineering Teacher specialising in Fitting and Machining. You will inspire the next generation of tradespeople by delivering practical, industry‑relevant training across workshop, classroom, online and workplace settings.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum for fitting and machining modules.
• Facilitate hands‑on workshops, classroom lectures and online learning sessions.
• Assess student performance using competency‑based methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, well‑equipped workshop environment.
• Collaborate with industry partners to ensure training aligns with current manufacturing standards.
• Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to team initiatives.

Required profile

• MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Machining) or equivalent.
• Current industry experience directly relevant to the training and assessment provided.
• Demonstrated knowledge of vocational training, learning and assessment practices.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in vocational education.
• Willingness to obtain or hold a TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
