Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator

About the role

James Hardie Industries is seeking a Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator to support and secure its hybrid infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand. You will work across servers, storage, networks, cloud services and cybersecurity functions, ensuring reliable and secure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain system and network operations in plant and office environments, including Wi‑Fi, servers, storage, endpoints and cloud platforms.
• Administer Azure, VMWare, vCenter, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and related services.
• Deliver L2–L4 support, conduct vulnerability scanning, patch management and endpoint protection.
• Review logs, SIEM alerts and monitoring dashboards to identify threats and support incident response.
• Manage AV configuration across sites and secure remote access via Palo Alto GlobalProtect.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery processes, backup management and maintain accurate system documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant IT degree or diploma with preferred certifications such as Azure Administrator, M365 or Security+.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed technical teams.

Required skills

• System and network administration on Cisco and Palo Alto platforms.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure: Azure, Windows Server, Linux and Microsoft 365.
• Proficiency in vulnerability scanning, patch cycles and endpoint protection tools.
• Knowledge of SIEM systems and secure remote access solutions.
