System Engineer – Linux

About the role

Ivalua is looking for a System Engineer with strong Linux expertise to lead infrastructure activities across the APAC region, supporting datacenters in Australia and Singapore while collaborating with teams in the US and EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on technical infrastructure projects and build APAC global infrastructure.
• Ensure datacenter operations quality, SLA compliance, vulnerability patching, backups, logging and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Monitor infrastructure and applications, raise and follow up alerts, and troubleshoot servers, software, network and deployment issues.
• Support project and application maintenance teams on Commercial Cloud and ITAR platforms.
• Create documentation, diagrams, procedures and enforce security protocols.
• Develop automation workflows and ensure continuity across global “follow‑the‑sun” operations.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience as a System Engineer with modern datacenter infrastructure.
• Proven ability to handle Linux and Windows servers, Azure services and networking.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, leadership and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Linux and Windows server administration, OS and software patching.
• Azure services: Storage, Key Vault, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Azure Backup.
• Datacenter infrastructure management, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, firewall, WAN.
• Kubernetes (kubectl) and automation.
• Virtualization, scripting, encryption protocols, HSM.
• Web server and SQL database knowledge.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools.
