System Administrator – Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a skilled System Administrator with strong Linux and VMware expertise to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure in a telecom‑focused Managed Services team. The role operates 24/7, ensuring high availability, performance and rapid incident resolution for critical telecom and business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE, etc.).
• Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter and virtual machines, including provisioning, clustering and migration.
• Perform server patching, upgrades, hardening and performance tuning.
• Monitor health, capacity and availability of physical and virtual environments.
• Troubleshoot Linux, VMware, storage and networking issues affecting telecom services.
• Configure user accounts, authentication services and security policies.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity aligned with telecom SLAs.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and automation tools; conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Create and keep technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with network, storage, security and telecom operations teams.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call and shift‑based support as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, VMware Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience in enterprise and telecom‑grade environments.
• Proven track record managing VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter and virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with server performance tuning, monitoring, patching and production troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS and virtual storage solutions.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (Bash, Shell, Python, Ansible).
