Supermarket Team Member (Entry Level)

About the role

Friendly Grocer at Mango Hill is hiring reliable casual team members for two entry‑level positions – an early‑morning food preparation & retail assistant and an evening checkout assistant. Both roles are on‑site, about 20 hours per week, and require weekend availability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh food, operate commercial deep fryers, bake and stock replenishment for the early‑morning role.
• Provide general store duties and excellent customer service during the morning shift.
• Operate checkout counters, process cash and EFTPOS transactions, greet customers and keep the checkout area tidy for the evening role.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a supermarket, café, takeaway or similar food retail environment (highly desirable for the morning role).
• Reliable, punctual and able to start work at 6:00 am for the morning shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, after‑school hours and weekends for the checkout role.
• Friendly, honest and strong work ethic.
