Student Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Student Engagement Coordinator leads the school’s Engagement Strategy for students at educational risk. This permanent, full‑time position involves designing, coordinating and delivering targeted programs that support students, families and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individual pathway plans to improve attendance and engagement.
• Conduct home visits and set personal goals with students.
• Plan and deliver tailored activities, excursions and educational programs.
• Build professional connections with families, community agencies and school staff.
• Stay updated on research and evidence‑based practices for at‑risk students.

Required profile

• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or valid work visa.
• Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
• Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice.

Required skills

• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Effective communication with students, families and external agencies.
• Knowledge of student wellbeing and early‑school‑leaving interventions.
