Student Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Student Engagement Coordinator will lead the school’s Engagement Strategy for students identified as being at educational risk. This permanent, full‑time position starts in Term 3 2026 and focuses on designing, coordinating and delivering targeted programs that support students, families and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individual pathway plans to improve attendance and engagement.
• Conduct home visits and set personal goals with students.
• Plan and deliver tailored activities, excursions and educational programs that build confidence, self‑esteem and respect.
• Provide intensive, personalised support to students at risk of early school leaving.
• Build strong professional connections with families, community agencies and school staff.
• Stay updated on research and best practices related to educational risk and incorporate evidence‑based interventions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to supporting students at risk.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff and external agencies.
• Eligibility to work in Australia and obtain a Working With Children Check.
