Structural Riggers - FIFO Mining Project

About the role

Pearl Recruitment is recruiting 4 Structural Riggers (Intermediate/Advanced) for a FIFO project team working on major mining and industrial projects across Western Australia. The role is hands-on, involving the rigging, positioning and installation of structural steel, mechanical equipment and associated components, working closely with crane crews, trades and supervisors to complete lifting and installation safely according to site procedures and lift plans. The position is based at BCI Salt Wash, Mardie.

Key responsibilities

• Rig and position structural steel, beams, frames and heavy components
• Sling and secure loads for crane and lifting operations
• Select and inspect chains, slings, shackles and other lifting equipment
• Assist crane operators with safe lifting and positioning of materials
• Use chain blocks, lever hoists, come-alongs and other lifting equipment
• Work from EWP and elevated work platforms when required
• Assist with installation of mechanical equipment, pipework and plant
• Guide and position loads using tag lines and hand signals
• Work with crane crews, boilermakers, fitters and other trades
• Maintain a safe and tidy work area and follow site safety and environmental requirements

Required profile

• Immediate start available
• Interest in shutdown work
• Intermediate to advanced level riggers

Required skills

• EWP - JLG 800AJ (essential)
• Working at Heights (WAH) current and valid (essential)
• 25t Franna and Tadano GR-800EX highly desirable

What we offer

• FIFO to Karratha, then a 1.5-hour drive to Mardie
• 2:1 roster for 3 swings, 12-hour day shifts
• Pay of $60 per hour flat rate
