Structural Engineer

About the role

Arup is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing Gold Coast team. You will work on a variety of building projects, from new designs to the assessment and strengthening of existing structures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Queensland and Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake structural design calculations and develop structural solutions for diverse building projects.
• Prepare and review construction drawings, produce Revit models, and support BIM coordination for project execution.
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines, manage project administration, and produce technical reports.
• Liaise directly with clients and professionals, building trusted relationships through clear communication.
• Provide site supervision when required and support regional project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Washington Accord recognised) with at least four years of structural engineering experience on building projects.
• Progress towards RPEQ registration.
• Strong ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet project budgets and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Structural design calculations and familiarity with Australian codes and practices.
• Experience with Revit and BIM coordination.
• Knowledge of Rhino/Grasshopper or programming (advantageous).
• Contract administration and submission procedures.
