Structural Engineer - Hydropower Projects

About the role

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design and assessment of reinforced and mass concrete hydraulic structures, ensuring structural integrity, hydraulic performance and long‑term durability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and design dams, spillways, intake structures, stilling basins, canals, culverts, energy dissipation structures and retaining walls.
• Perform structural assessments under static, dynamic, seismic, thermal, uplift and hydraulic loads, including flood and extreme event scenarios.
• Develop and review detailed calculations, design drawings, specifications and technical reports in accordance with relevant codes.
• Coordinate with hydraulic, geotechnical and civil engineers to deliver integrated safety‑focused designs.
• Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections and resolution of non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience designing concrete hydraulic or water‑retaining structures.
• Strong understanding of reinforced and mass concrete behavior under hydraulic loading.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.
