Structural Designer – Perth CBD

About the role

CADDS Group is looking for a motivated Structural Designer or Senior Structural Designer to join its Perth CBD office. You will contribute to the design and delivery of a variety of structural engineering projects across multiple industries, working closely with engineers, designers and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Produce structural designs, 3D models and detailed drawings for engineering projects.
• Deliver cost‑effective solutions that comply with client requirements and Australian Standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, shop detailers and other stakeholders throughout all project stages.
• Ensure design outputs are accurate, high‑quality and fully compliant.
• Assist with design reviews, coordination and support from concept through construction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of CADDS design standards and workflows.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of design and drafting experience.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or Drafting, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Ability to interpret project requirements and produce designs aligned with stakeholder intent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
