Stormwater Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Stormwater Engineer to join our consulting team in Sydney. You will work on residential, commercial and urban infrastructure projects, delivering stormwater drainage, flood management and civil infrastructure solutions from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop stormwater drainage designs and hydraulic assessments for a variety of development projects.
• Perform flood modelling and support land‑development studies.
• Prepare design documentation, calculations and reports in line with Australian standards and local authority requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact directly with clients to ensure design intent is met.
• Progress designs through the full project lifecycle, from concept to construction.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of consulting experience in stormwater or civil engineering.
• Proven experience preparing stormwater drainage designs and hydraulic assessments.
• Familiarity with Australian engineering standards and local authority requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Motivation to continue learning and advance towards senior engineering roles.
