Storeroom Assistant – Retail Stock Management

About the role

As a Storeroom Assistant you will work behind the scenes in a busy retail environment, ensuring that stock is received, organised and moved efficiently to the sales floor. You will support the store team by maintaining accurate inventory records and providing friendly assistance to customers collecting their purchases.

Key responsibilities

• Unpack, label and arrange merchandise in the storeroom.
• Receive and process incoming deliveries, checking items and quantities.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, walkie stackers, WAVe and trolleys.
• Record all stock movements using the Inwards/Outwards Goods Register.
• Assist customers with item pickups and provide courteous service.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in both the store floor and stockroom.

Required profile

• Proactive, reliable and able to work unsupervised.
• Physical ability to lift up to 15 kg regularly and heavier items with assistance.
• Previous retail or customer‑service experience is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
