Storeperson - Goonyella

About the role

BUMA Australia is seeking an experienced Storeperson to join its Goonyella team on a permanent full-time basis, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. Working within a team of six, you will support a busy mining warehouse holding more than 4,000 SKUs. The role is hands-on and suits an organised person who can manage inventory, receipting, picking, dispatch and stock control in a fast-paced mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Issue parts against maintenance work orders
• Receive, unload and receipt incoming stock
• Pick and pack parts for maintenance needs
• Load and dispatch outbound freight
• Manage stock returns and inventory transactions
• Maintain tooling registers, equipment records, lifting equipment registers and their certification requirements
• Keep consumable and PPE stock levels
• Run weekly cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, and take part in annual stocktakes
• Escort delivery vehicles on site and operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safety focused

Required profile

• Previous warehouse or stores experience
• Experience in mining, heavy equipment, construction or a related industry preferred
• Current LF forklift licence and C class driver's licence
• Strong computer literacy, data entry, literacy and numeracy skills
• Good organisation and time management, able to work independently and in a team
• Proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement
