Steelmaker - Rooty Hill Steel Mill

About the role

InfraBuild, an integrated steel manufacturing, distribution and recycling business, is looking for a Steelmaker to join its Rooty Hill Steel Mill. The mill operates 24/7 and the role involves 12-hour shifts on a rotating 7-day roster covering day and night shifts. You will be part of a large, experienced steelmaking crew and report directly to the Shift Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Operate within the steelmaking process in a large, experienced crew under the Shift Leader.
• Perform manual handling tasks throughout the full production process.
• Develop skills in cabin crane and forklift operation.

Required profile

• Previous trades or labouring experience.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Enthusiasm for learning the steelmaking process and interest in a global business with strong safety values.
• Applications are welcome from people of all backgrounds.

Required skills

• Forklift ticket (ideal but not essential).
• Basic computer literacy to learn HMI operation.
