Station Manager (Live-In) - Pilbara Cattle Station

About the role

Minderoo Aggregation, in the Ashburton region of Western Australia's Pilbara, is looking for a Station Manager or management couple to lead its cattle station. The role reports to the General Manager of Extensive Agribusiness and leads a team of around 20 people covering herd performance, rangeland management, capital projects and budgets. It is a full-time, permanent position with a six-month probation period, and housing, a vehicle and relocation support are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing station team, fostering a strong, positive culture with safety at the forefront
• Manage livestock in line with the company's animal welfare objectives
• Consider the vertically integrated supply chain in managing the operation
• Prepare and manage station budgets, forecasts and capital projects
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders, guests and the wider business

Required profile

• Substantial leadership experience in Australia's Northern Pastoral industry
• Strong business acumen as a proven all-round operator and a genuine background in horses
• An HR/MC licence and formal qualifications are well regarded but not required from day one
• A passion for pastoral life, strong stockmanship and people skills, and a community-minded approach to leadership
