State Training Manager – Melbourne

About the role

Rentokil Initial is seeking a State Training Manager to lead RTO excellence, act as a technical authority for high‑risk chemical handling, and champion compliance across Victoria. You will coordinate, deliver and monitor technical and compliance training, ensuring staff are competent, licensed and meet both internal and legislative standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nationally recognised training, maintain auditable records and support internal and external audits, including ASQA.
• Coordinate pest‑management and safe‑work‑procedure training, aligning delivery with company risk controls.
• Conduct field assessments and workplace observations to verify competency in high‑risk activities.
• Assist branch teams with training needs analysis and maintain compliance registers for licences and authorisations.
• Use the Learning Management System (LMS) to track evidence, generate compliance reports and ensure audit readiness.

Required profile

• Understanding of the 2025 RTO Standards and ability to interpret complex legislation and company procedures.
• Hold or be willing to obtain Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
• Victorian Pest Management Technician Licence (or ability to obtain) and a valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum 5 years operational pest‑management experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in training, coaching or competency assessment.
• Preferred: Diploma or higher in Training, Compliance or WHS; timber pest‑management experience; fumigation licence; experience in an ASQA‑regulated RTO environment and internal auditing.
