Stakeholder and Community Relations Officer

About the role

Private Energy Partners is seeking a Stakeholder and Community Relations Officer to join its Brisbane team. Reporting to the Stakeholder and Community Relations Manager, you will help build and maintain relationships with project neighbours, traditional owners, community groups and other key stakeholders across Australia’s energy infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement community, traditional owner and stakeholder engagement plans for projects nationwide.
• Represent Private Energy Partners in written, phone and face‑to‑face communications with local communities and stakeholders.
• Plan and deliver engagement activities such as stakeholder meetings, briefings and community information sessions, including site visits.
• Maintain communication channels including a 1800 hotline and email inbox, and draft communication materials (fact sheets, website copy, emails).
• Enter and update stakeholder data in the Consultation Manager system and Social PinPoint platform.
• Coordinate with external suppliers (printers, mail houses, graphic designers) and raise purchase orders.
• Monitor media daily and support project‑level reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations or communications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Experience working with traditional owners and understanding of reconciliation action plans is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Consultation Manager database.
• Experience using the Social PinPoint platform for stakeholder tracking.
