Sourcing and Contracts Specialist

About the role

The Sourcing and Contracts Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding new procurement systems, processes, and ways of working within a dynamic university environment. Working closely with academics, researchers and key stakeholders, the role supports the sourcing of specialist goods and services that underpin cutting‑edge research and education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a customer‑centric procurement service that ensures responsible, efficient and safe purchasing while achieving value for money.
• Coordinate market processes, including planning, managing open periods, leading evaluations and providing recommendations in line with Procurement Policy.
• Prepare procurement and contract documentation to support initiatives, variations and ongoing procurement activities.
• Collaborate with Category Managers and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency in procurement.
• Substantial experience with procurement systems and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, planning and organisational abilities.

• Full‑time, ongoing appointment.
• Base salary range $108,413 – $120,287 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
