Solutions Engineer – Public Safety & Emergency Services

About the role

Cisco is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support Public Safety and Emergency Services organisations across Victoria. In this customer‑facing position you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers solve complex operational challenges with Cisco’s networking, security, collaboration, cloud, AI and IoT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with account teams to understand customer priorities, operational requirements and long‑term goals.
• Design and present innovative technology solutions that address mission‑critical challenges.
• Lead technical discovery workshops, demonstrations, solution design activities and proof‑of‑concept engagements.
• Build strong relationships with technical leaders, architects, operators and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Cisco specialists, partners and customer success teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in networking, telecommunications, data centre, cloud or related technology environments.
• Experience in a customer‑facing pre‑sales, consulting, architecture or engineering role.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business and operational value.
