Solution Architect

About the role

Join an established enterprise organisation in the defence delivery sector to design end‑to‑end solution architectures for high‑complexity technology initiatives. You will translate core business capabilities into scalable application, cloud and integration blueprints while modernising legacy landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive design and governance of solution architectures supporting complex defence programmes.
• Develop and maintain high‑level technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to turn functional requirements into secure architecture designs.
• Evaluate existing platforms and define future‑state target models, including cloud migration and system modernisation.
• Produce formal architectural artefacts such as solution design documents, reference architectures and governance standards.
• Promote best practices, architectural standards and reusable patterns across agile delivery teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of dedicated Solution Architecture experience across application, cloud and integration domains.
• Active NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum 10 years of continuous work experience with Australian companies.
• Prior experience supporting defence industry clients is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record designing and executing enterprise technology roadmaps.
• TOGAF certification preferred.
