Software Engineer – Network Security (GGI Security Team)

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to join the GGI Security team, focusing on network security and vulnerability management at web‑scale. The role involves building full‑stack solutions that protect the software supply chain and enhance visibility across Google’s global infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop vulnerability management systems for network devices.
• Protect the software supply chain against unauthorized persistent access.
• Enhance logging, detection, and visibility across the GGI network fleet.
• Remediate and upgrade insecure authentication protocols.
• Contribute to full‑stack development using back‑end and front‑end technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• 2 years of full‑stack development experience across back‑end (Java, Python, Golang, C++) and front‑end (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Preferred: Experience developing accessible technologies.
