Software Engineer – Java, Microservices & Cloud (Brisbane)

About the role

Coforge is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and build micro‑services, event‑driven and cloud‑native solutions for mission‑critical applications. The role focuses on Java‑based development, leveraging AWS and modern DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver scalable, high‑throughput, low‑latency micro‑services.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, promoting best practices and a high‑performance culture.
• Create end‑to‑end solution architectures, including high‑level and low‑level designs.
• Define integration patterns, API contracts and system interaction models.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud‑native deployments.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in designing and developing micro‑services and event‑driven architectures.
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) with extensive work on AWS, Kafka, Apigee and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, resilient solutions in enterprise environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
