Software Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join its Mission Integration team in Brisbane, developing cutting‑edge software solutions that support critical Defence capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality software following engineering standards and best practices.
• Participate in Agile activities such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Design, develop, test and maintain applications and features using ASP.NET, C#, HTML and JavaScript.
• Conduct unit, performance and system integration testing and produce technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and Defence stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Active NV1 Defence Security Clearance (or higher) required.

Required skills

• ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript.
• Microsoft SQL Server, Transact‑SQL, Stored Procedures.
• Object‑Oriented Programming principles.
• Unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Azure DevOps (ADO/TFS), Git, Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Agile/Scrum development experience.
