Software Engineer – Identity & Access Management

About the role

ANZ is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Platform Identity and Services team. You will work closely with business partners to design, develop, and maintain a zero‑trust Identity and Access Management platform that secures customer access to banking services.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and analyse existing system design and architecture.
• Participate in design discussions, propose improvements and own feature delivery from concept to production.
• Develop new functionality using Golang and gRPC.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues promptly.
• Write unit and automated integration tests to ensure high quality.
• Continuously optimise code for performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Review pull requests and incorporate feedback quickly.
• Collaborate with an agile team to support regular deliveries.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on attitude with a willingness to code daily.
• Experience or strong interest in Identity and Access Management.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
• Proactive mindset with ownership and accountability.
• Good problem‑solving and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Golang (or willingness to learn).
• gRPC.
