Software Engineer I – Web Applications (Node, React)

About the role

Join Honeywell's Software Centre in Perth and help build next‑generation enterprise data intelligence solutions. You will work on modern web applications that power industrial assets across multiple markets, collaborating with a talented team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, React, Vite, PostgreSQL, Redis and AWS SNS.
• Write clean, scalable TypeScript code and create unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests with Playwright and Cypress.
• Translate complex requirements into actionable Jira tickets and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product teams, conduct code reviews and suggest architectural improvements.
• Integrate third‑party APIs such as Slack and Azure and build internal frameworks for external integrations.
• Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines in Bitbucket and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Provide operational support, responding to production alarms on a rostered basis during business hours.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of software engineering experience covering analysis, design, coding, testing and support.
• Strong passion for software development and a willingness to quickly master new technologies.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and integrate well into a senior engineering group.
